History & Introduction
The hospital was founded on 29 October 1978, emerging from a charitable dispensary started by residents of Model Town, Ludhiana, who raised ₹8,400 through “Larriwaar Kirtan” events. Land was granted by then–Punjab CM Giani Zail Singh and initial construction supported by CM of Karnataka, Dev Raj Urs. What began with 22 beds grew into a full-fledged, four‑storey multi‑specialty hospital under the Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib (Charitable) Hospital Society.
