History & Introduction
Founded in 1956 by the Nankana Sahib Education Trust, GNDEC is one of the oldest and most respected engineering colleges in North India. The foundation stone was laid on April 8, 1956, by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, India’s first President. Named in honor of the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, its vision was to provide quality technical education to students from diverse backgrounds, including rural areas

- Tech: Based on JEE Main (15% All India quota, rest via PTU counselling); lateral entry for diploma holders through LEET; management quota per AICTE norms
- Tech: Qualified via GATE or merit-based state counselling.
- MBA: Through CMAT; MCA via merit
- 15% seats reserved for out-of-state candidates
